  Inagural Function   Address by Dr. P. Kanniappan, Vice-Chancellor of BS Abdur Rahman University

The marvelous and exemplary inauguration of the first batch of engineering students was organized in the premises of Sri Raaja Raajan College of Engineering & Technology. The Principal V. Dr. V. Anbumalar welcomed the gathering. This function was headed by Dr. P. Kanniappan, Vice-Chancellor of BS Abdur Rahman University and Mr. Thangam Moorthy, the adviser, Sahitya Academy, New Delhi. Mr. M. Periyasamy, Chairman, Sri Raaja Raajan College of Engineering & Technology, Dr. S. Subbiah, Mr. R. Rajagopalan, Administrative offier, Sri Raaja Raajan College of Engineering & Technology, chaired the function. Dr. S. Subbiah gave presidential address. Mr. Thanga Moorthy, the vibrant writer in his keynote address, while speaking about the importance of communication skills, stressed the students to develop their communication skills, stressed the students to develop their communication skills. Dr. Kanniappan, the legend in mathematics, in his inaugural address highlighted the importance of self reading and the need to learn a foreign language. He also suggested the way to update the knowledge and stated that the evergreen life of the students lies in the hands of efficient teachers. He insisted that the search for knowledge must be initiated in minds of the students through effective teaching. The esteemed Vice Chancellor released the brochure of the institution. The scintillating function came to an end when MRS. Hyacinth Suganthi proposed the vote of thanks.


  Lecture on Perspective Projection    Prof.AP.Mohanaraj , Dept. Mechanical Engineering, Raja College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai

A Guest Lecture on Perspective Projection was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Sri Raaja Raajan College of Engineering and Technology on 29.11.2010. The session began at 9.30am with an introduction by Dr. V. Anbumalar, Principal of the College.

Prof.AP.Mohanaraj , Dept. Mechanical Engineering, Raja College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai gave a detailed illustrative talk on the topic. It was highly educative and beneficial to the First year students. The students interated with the faculty and clarified their doubts. It was well organized by Prof. X .Hyacinth Suganthi and Prof. C. Justin Diraviam of Mechanical Engineering Department.


  Lecture on “Speed Learning”    Dr.S.Malaikani Placement and Training Officer, Muthayammal Engineering College, Rasipuram

A Guest Lecture on “Speed Learning” was organized by Sri Raaja Raajan College of Engineering and Technology on 29.11.2010 at 2.30pm. Dr. V. Anbumalar, Principal introduced the Guest Lecturer Dr.S.Malaikani Placement and Training Officer, Muthayammal Engineering College, Rasipuram. In his talk, Dr Malaikani stressed on the importance of learning. He provided methodologies for speed learning in an inspiring and motivating presentation and also focused on joyous way of learning.

As the exams are fast approaching, this lecture was highly beneficial to the students. Interacting with the students, the speaker clarified their doubts on learning and wished them success in their examinations.


  Cultural Club inauguration    Dr.K.Sekar, Principal, Chidambaram pillai College for Women, Manachanallur

On 6/10/10 Cultural Club was inaugurated in Sri Raaja Raajan College of Engineering and Technology, Amaravathipudur. Dr.K.Sekar, Principal, Chidambaram pillai College for Women, Manachanallur. The Chief Guest lit the Kuthuvilakku. Our President Dr.S.Subbiah HOD i/c, Department of English and Foreign Language honoured our Chief Guest. Dr.V.Anbumalar , Principal welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest in his key note address gave encouraging words saying that the inborn talents of the students ought to be nurtured and guided. He also stated that apart from studies, engineering students should also concentrate on culturals and they should turn a deaf ear to the funny negative criticisms of others. After his felicitation, students exhibited their talents through solo songs, dance and dramas. To pointout the silambattam performed by Thalavai pandiyan, I yr Civil dept. student made the audience spell bound. All the participants showed their best. The gala function came to an end with vote of thanks of S.Balamurugan, I yr Civil dept. student. The programme was co-ordinated and scheduled by the Secretary of Cultural club Mr. Anand, Dept. of EEE. The Jubilant function ended with the National Anthem.
